Tate called a little while ago with news that made his "heart cheer up!"
He is now allowed to drink a little water and may even be able to have little sips of diet soda!
Pending how he's doing, the doctors are working on the possibility of him coming home next week and we would be trained to administer his IV antibiotics and nutrition using his pic-line here at home. The doctor also indicated that TPN (Total Nutrition by IV) may be needed for up to 6 months.
Thanks for praying!

Mae, thank you for the updates, we have been praying for Tate and it's so good to hear that he's being encouraged by a bit of progress.
We will continue to pray for a strong body and spirit for Tate as he endures this latest trial...he is always a godly example of faithfulness in suffering and I have no doubt that God will use Tate's witness for His glory in this as he has in the past.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help (meals, errands, etc.).

We will be praying for Tate. I know how monotonous it can be sitting in a room by your self for days at a time. Yuck! If I can think of something to brighten his day I'll try to get it to you.
Hello Tate, we praise the Lord that you are going to be able to drink some water and may be some diet soda. We trust in Him that you will be home soon.
We are also thankful that your mom is doing better.
Mae, thank you for taking the time to keep us informed. How was your speech?
Please, let us know how can we help. Is there a sign up for meals? Or if there is anything where we can be a help we will love to do it.
Love you all and we will continue lifting your family unto the Lord through prayer.

Tate, on Wednesday when I got the prayer notice from the church, I sat in my kitchen and prayed for you. Then last night the boys and I prayed for you together and we will continue to do so. We will pray for a quick recovery and that you will be able to go home soon, also for peace and grace for you and your family, but most of all for God's glory to shine.
