Update -- 12/10/08

Friends and Family~

I talked to my Mom a few hours ago and she said that Tate is very down this morning after the news that he'll be there for quite a while.
She said they have both had a few emotional breakdowns.
But they've been quoting scripture to each other. Especially Romans 12:1-2:

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

The doctors still hadn't installed the "pic-line" (that's how it sounds, but I have no idea if that's how it's spelled! ;) when I talked to her, but they were supposed to be coming to do that shortly. Once it is installed, it will be his only source of hydration and nutrition. Nothing will be going through his stomach; not even water.

A few specific things you can be praying for are:
1) Tate's spirits -- that God would emotionally strengthen him and encourage him.
2) My Mom's emotional strength as well. That they would both turn to God's word for peace.

Also, My Mom became very sick in the middle of the night last night, and is on her way home to rest. Pray for her recovery.

Romans 12:12 -- "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."

Love,
Mae & The Bartholow Family

Hi Tate - I love you and prayed for you at debate class today. The thought that came to me was that God wants to use you to encourage the other children (or adults) at UC right now. You've got an incredible gift inside you and some of the people there need what you have. So, we prayed that you would have your eyes opened to see the needs around. 2 Cor. 1:3-4 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

Sending you a hug,
Mrs. Wiemeyer

Hey Tate!
How are you doing this evening, bud? I've been praying for you. Whenever I'm not feeling well, in body or spirit, I think of this verse: "Count it all joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of various kinds..." (James 1:2) My prayer is that you're able to count it ALL joy, even though it's tough. Aight? Love you bud! Email me sometime if you get a chance...
Hugggggs,
Taylor

Dearest Tate,
I just found out a little while ago that you're back in the hospital. I always pray for you, but I am now praying very fervently for you. You take care, dear one, and know that our Lord is holding you close in His loving and protective arms.
I love you. Miss Kiraly
